Tobi & Josh | Engagement Session | Charlottesville, Virginia
Tobi & Josh, also known as #JobiForever, are getting married this weekend in Saratoga Springs, New York so we’re sharing some of our favorites from their engagement session. We first met Tobi when she was a bridesmaid in a #Kncouple wedding last year. (Shout out to Kat & Shawn for continually introducing us to awesome people)

So to say we’re excited for this weekend is a little bit of an understatement. I don’t think we can ever express how utterly and completely honored and humbled we are that couples would allow us to be part of such a intimate and celebratory time in their lives. And if you made it through that run-on sentence, you’re going to love the photos below.
This sweet couple let us capture their love under the glow of the Charlottesville sun and it was perfection. Jobi, we can’t wait for your wedding this weekend!!

Bell Anniversary Session | Oak Ridge Estate & Farm | Charlottesville, Virginia
Five years ago, I met Bethany and Kenan the day before their wedding - at their rehearsal where I was playing piano. We were connected through mutual friends and two years later, I ended up marrying a man (you know him as Nate) who grew up in the same town in West Virginia as Kenan. So basically we were all meant to be friends.

Fast-forward to Bethany doing my sister's hair for her wedding and us moving to Lynchburg and we find ourselves in Charlottesville with this stunning couple and their little girl who is basically the epitome of charming.
Bethany and Kenan got married on the gorgeous grounds of Oak Ridge Estate and came back for an anniversary session 5 years later complete with a baby announcement. To say that they slayed their session is a huge understatement because, come on, look at it. You get it.

Kirkpatrick Family Session | Charlottesville, Virginia
To say we are honored that families would allow us to pause their lives in photos is an understatement. From maternity photos, to sweet Owen’s newborn session, to Spring family photos, Susanne and Ryan have been so easy and fun to capture on the other side of the lens. Even though it’s wedding season, we still love meeting families during the week to capture gems like these. I mean I could gush about how much I love them, but I think it’s pretty evident.

Linus Drew Miller's First Birthday | Lynchburg, VA
A year ago we were introduced to our nephew Linus and this past weekend we celebrated his first birthday. To say he is the best is an understatement. We love that he's just learning how to nod his head yes in slow motion and take two steps in a row. We also love that he lives 15 minutes down the road from us. However, he (along with his parents) will be moving to Charlotte, North Carolina in April so we're making sure we get extra baby kisses in to hold us over in between visits.

Living so close to family allowed us to be present during pregnancy, birth, and the first incredible year of his life. Which also means we had the honor to document it on film and video. During the middle of her pregnancy, Kathryn asked if we could capture some video footage of the last 4 months of her pregnancy so she could save these moments forever.
Though Nate and I tag-teamed the filming, he's the mastermind behind stitching it together for Linus' birthday. The first time I saw it I wanted Linus to be little again so I could just hold him in when he was so scrunched up. It is insane how fast time has gone and we're constantly re-learning the importance of documenting our lives with film photography and video. This little moments are the ones we don't want to ever forget.
