Ana & Aaron | Engagement Session | Wilmington, Delaware
I moved to Virginia for my masters in 2011 and over the course of my 18 month stay, I had two roommates who I love dearly. If you fast forward 6 years to now you'd see that BOTH of them are getting married this year! Which means double the wedding fun because we get the honor of not only attending but capturing their celebrations. It also means we get extra hang out time in the form of an engagement session.

On our way to a New York wedding at the beginning of June, we stopped in Wilmington, Delaware for Ana & Aaron’s engagement session by one place I will never say no to shooting at – the water. With an awesome mix of downtown vibes and a waterfront park, magic was created. We love you Ana & Aaron and we’re so excited to be at your wedding in the Fall!

Miller Family | Lifestyle Session | Charlotte, North Carolina
I’m not sure that words can properly describe how much I love this session. Not only does it fulfill my dreams of doing an all film, family lifestyle session in an all white kitchen, but it features the cutest toddler in the world. Linus is my nephew and I like to think he takes after me in awesomeness – you see it, right?

Kathryn and Drew just moved to Charlotte, NC and since we’re about 3 hours away in Lynchburg, each time we visit, photos are in order. This session is one that Kathryn and I dreamed up together and gave some thought to beforehand. We knew we wanted their family doing something normal in their house – preferably their kitchen – and we knew we wanted Linus to be able to be part of it. Check, check, and checkout what’s in their oven. It’s a good one.

Kaitlyn & Randy | Sorella Farms Barn Wedding | Lynchburg, VA
Kaitlyn and Randy chose to have their wedding at one of our local favorites – Sorella Farms. They were the first to have their wedding at a new ceremony site at Sorella – on a hill overlooking the lake. Just as picturesque as it sounds, it was gorgeous. Their classic chic style reigned supreme throughout their wedding from their color palette to the custom doors they walked through for the ceremony.

We love how Kaitlyn incorporated something old, new, borrowed, and blue with her getting ready details. While rain threatened to move their celebration inside, it didn’t start until their reception and we’ll give all the praise hands for that! Congratulations Kaitlyn and Randy, thank you for having us be part of your day!

Vaughan Family | Irvington Spring Farm | Lynchburg, Virginia
Plain and simple, this family is a joy. If you’ve worked with them while they’re behind cameras for Megan’s wedding photography business or Mitch’s Videography business (or have interacted with 15 month old Max in any capacity – I mean, come on) then you know it’s true. One of our greatest honors, however, is not only calling these wonderful people friends, but being able to switch places with them and document their lives.

This happy family session happened in the heart of Lynchburg at Irvington Spring Farm and though I might be biased, I’m in flower heaven. Megan’s vision for this session was bright, joyful, and a field of flowers and I’d say she makes her dreams come true. Although it rained for the first part of the session, it allowed us to capture some great moments in the greenhouse on-site and when the sun came out in full force – the field of flowers was everything that we needed.
